Oralmat Drops solution contains a gluten-free, activated extract of the
rye plant (Secale cereale). The young rye plants are harvested at
the peak of their nutrient density while the rye grass is still green, and
extracts are made utilizing a special process which concentrates and preserves
the valuable nutrients of the young rye plants. The active constituents have
immuno-modulatory, estrogenic and antioxidant properties, and are also involved
in cellular energy production.
The rye plant contains important nutrients, including genistein and other
isoflavones, matairesinol, coenzyme Q10, squalene and beta-1,3-glucan.
Genistein is a phytoestrogen, classified as an isofavone flavonoid. Phyto-estrogens
are nonsteroidal compounds derived from plants that have estrogenic properties.
Genistein has both weak estrogenic and anti-estrogenic effects, depending on
what the body requires. Genistein functions as an antioxidant, inhibiting lipid
peroxidation, and may also increase the activity of the main antioxidant
enzymes, superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione
reductase.
Matairesinol belongs to the category of lignan precursors, which are the
primary source of phytoestrogens in the typical modern diet in the West.
Matairesinol was one of the first lignan precursors to be discovered and has
been extensively studied.
Coenzyme Q10 is found ubiquitously in all the cells of the body (thus its
scientific name: ubiquinone), and acts as an electron donor to the
electron-transport chain of cellular respiration. CoQ10’s primary function is to
aid in the generation of energy within the cells, and it also contributes
powerful antioxidant activity. Beta-1,3-glucan is an immune stimulant, which can
activate macrophage activity.
Squalene is found in large quantities in shark liver oil, and in smaller
amounts in certain plant foods. It is structurally similar to beta-carotene, and

over 60% of dietary squalene is absorbed and transported to the tissues where it
